2006 Abstract:
Positive zoo visitor experiences of animals behaving naturally in realistic displays can be enhanced with interactive, dynamic enrichment features. This paper will present examples using inexpensive natural materials which support interpretive storyline as a practical alternative to highly artificial commercial enrichment devices which detract from the carefully planned, naturalistic experience.
