In June Jon delivered an hour-long webinar on zoo design trends to the Practical Animal Welfare Science (PAWS) webinar platform.
Also, in June Jon collaborated with colleague Sabrina Brando to deliver a virtual lecture on improving animal welfare through integrated design and management to the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) webinar.
In September Jon also delivered a zoom lecture to architecture students at St Tomas University in Manila.
Jon was a virtual keynote speaker at the Southeast Asian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (SEAZA) held in Manila in November.
Also in November, Jon helped to organize and participated in the International Reptile Jam Digital Workshop event for Animal/Computer Interaction specialists organized by Dr Fiona French in UK.
Another in November: Jon was a keynote speaker at the virtual Japanese Zoo Landscape Conference organized by long-time friend and colleague Dr Kenji Wako.
